It's way too scandalous to repeat, so here's the link to the offensive shirt: https://www.snorgtees.com/dna-helicase

Woke tyrant engages in hypocrisy. Quelle surprise.

Wokesters munching on each other. "A l'exemple de Saturne, la révolution dévore ses enfants." Yes! Few know that this is a Cosmic Law created to auto-limit the left. Always works.

Dept chair doing cya. Not unusual.

Good piece - cheers!

This sentence had me spitting out my coffee:

“It didn’t matter that after rising from their fainting couches after somehow being the last to learn of the matter, a coterie of twentysomething Gladys Kravitzes and Mr. Furleys disapproved.”

😂🤣🙄🥸🤡🌎

This captured academia today! Good job Daniel. I love this sitcom...and perhaps, since there is a writers strike, someone will grab it, pay Daniel Nuccio for it, and produce it, so that everyone can see the absurdity of academia today--not just those that pay upwards of $60,000 a year for a front row seat at the live performance.

Without commenting on the merits of the points raised in this essay, I suggest some attention to writing. The first paragraph consists of one long sentence carelessly crafted, wordy, and rather confusing. In fact, the entire essay could have benefited from from some judicious external editing. Even STEM folks can benefit from the humanities, not to say a periodic re-read of guides such as Fowler's or The Chicago Manual of Style.

This is the kind of snide ad hominem comment I would think this site would abjure. Guess I was mistaken.

IT'S A JOKE. Lighten the fuck up, brother. My JOKE was a stick in the eye to all the woke asshats in academia who write stuff like that seriously.

Jesus. Take a walk. Have a cup of coffee. Relax and learn how to recognize humor when it appears.

Bravo! I was laughing so hard from start to finish! I appreciate the retelling in such a cheeky, yet faithful reconstruction of that non-emergency emergency meeting—felt like I was there. *sigh* glad to have escaped before the REAL madness set it.

A bit defensive, me thinks. I actually have not experienced much humor, mostly whining, on this site, and certainly not in your posts. As someone who has actually written a bit on play, an irrelevant comment is not actually satire. And, I doubt if you considered the initial writer a woke asshat, so I assume you meant me, which doubles your apparently bitter persona and personal attack that ignores the thrust of my comment. You could, of course, have argued that the opening paragraph was a paragon of clear or insightful writing. The fact you did not supports my response, duh!

This is thoroughly beautiful, through and through.

Does anyone else find this Maoist insanity particularly delicious occurring as it does in the Biology Department which - unless things have changed since I was an undergrad - is largely concerned with sexual reproduction?

Thank you for sharing this case Mr. Nuccio. For what it's worth, this story follows a play book that feminists have been using since at least the 1980's not to address actual cases of sexual harassment, but to bully and harass others who they dislike. The Women's Whisper network mentioned may once have served to protect individuals from actual harassers before Title IX existed but has morphed into a shadow system of star chambers where women spread confidential information, personal opinions, rumors and outright falsehoods as a means of building a case against their target or anyone who might defend him. They then claim this series of unvetted rumors and innuendos constitutes a pattern of behavior which, now PROVEN in their minds will not have its details discussed but will be treated as if it came from one of the 10 tablets of Moses and used to condemn the person in question to whatever penalty the shrill feminists require. It is the same form of bullying we see with high school girls against unpopular peers that morphs into the false accusations of rape used to justify the lynchings of thousands of African Americans in the not so distant past. In truth, these individuals ARE the biggest source of bullying and harassment in academia and are a far greater threat to the safety and careers of academics at all levels than any of the people who they claim to be guarding against.

I would caution you that by even asking your questions you have no doubt been entered into the whisper networks as a threat to the feminist agenda and publishing this article will likely lead to attacks on you. I can provide 30 years of experiences to back this up should you wish to discuss them. Good luck...and for God sake watch your back as everything you say can and will be twisted so it can be used against you.
