I think your observation of “Twitter Science” is spot on and is an important argument . Unfortunately a detailed, reasoned rebuttal like this one isn’t as effective to the masses who want slogans and simple explanations without nuance. Most people want truthiness, something that feels good to them and confirms their biases. This is of course the opposite of the scientific method which always allows for the possibility of being proven wrong. Perhaps you could come up with a more concise version of this essay and attempt to circulate it widely? Unfortunately 99.9% of people on the internet aren’t going to take the time to read something this detailed, let alone a 70+ page paper.
